Getting stuck on a railway crossing can be a dangerous situation, especially if a train is approaching. Pushing the vehicle off the tracks (A) may seem like the best option, but it puts you at risk of getting hit by the train. Signaling the train conductor to stop (B) may not be effective as they may not see the signal in time to stop. Staying inside the vehicle (C) is also not a safe option, as the impact of a train collision can be devastating. Getting out of and away from the vehicle (D) is the best course of action as it removes you from harm's way.
